About the Job

UniCourt is searching for a Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer with excellent testing background, who can lead a team of 5+ QA Engineers to test UniCourt’s web and mobile applications including APIs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5+ QA Engineers.
• Engage in requirements discussions with Product and Engineering teams.
• Meet the product quality standards and present the same to the QA and Product Managers.
• Improve the process of monitoring, reporting, and managing test runs and test results.
• Design, develop, review and execute test plans and test cases along with team specific QA members.
• Implement functional/acceptance tests, integration tests, regression tests, performance tests, security tests in different parts of the product as necessary.
• Write automation tests in JavaScript, TypeScript, and shell scripts for API, web, and mobile tests.
• Build necessary libraries and frameworks to manage the building of new tests or adopt the necessary tools to build on top of.
• Reporting of the testing cycle progress, product quality, and ready for release checklist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• 6+ years of relevant QA experience.

Required Skills

• Should have managed 3+ QA engineers.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• Experience writing automation tests using Python or other programming languages.
• Experience adopting a variety of tools for performance tests (K6, Locust, JMeter, etc.), UI tests (Selenium, Playwright, etc.), API tests (Karate, etc.), data integrity tests, and security tests.
• Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Experience using project management tools like Jira.
• Excellent problem solving and algorithmic skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
